An Elephant Moved: Search Based Google TV


This is the revolution that is (and has been) taking place in the competition for mind space. From the ’50’s and ’60’s where turning the channel selector knob to one of 3 network stations was the norm … to finding your remote control in the 1980’s and choosing one of hundreds of cable channel choices … the evolution continues with GoogleTV, search based content delivery.

There are many social ramifications to this development, but certainly one of the most exciting (and challenging) is that content development is no longer restricted to the manipulations of a few giant media companies. Barring government intervention, content from all social and economic environments may soon have distribution access to the place where most people spend the largest amounts of their free time … the TV.
