Testing A Media Player: SoundCloud

Most of our library is in video format, not surprising as that is what we do… make videos. That being said, we are now in the process of converting our video library to digital audio (MP3) files and looking at podcasting and new ways of distribution.

Here is a player that I like from SoundCloud. SoundCloud also seems to have a number of “listeners”, which is a nice bonus, but the primary benefit is a high quality audio player that packs a lot of information and flexibility into a tight cyber media package that is easily shared in digital communities.

Here is a player that I set up for music:

And here is one that I set up for Bible teaching:

Help me test these players! Try them out and see how they work. The audio Bible teachings can be downloaded … all 1 & 1/2 hours of them! The player includes a description of the series of teachings, a description of each Bible teaching, a link to the video if a video has been released, and an easy way to share the Bible study with your friends and family. The music player includes the lyrics for each song, a video (if available), a picture, a link to purchase the track, and an easy way to share the collection.

So, this is where we may be headed…. but first, help me test them out and let me know what you think!
