I played the bass in this 1990 recording “Some Long Years Ago” that was tracked and mixed at Red House Studio in Lawrence, Kansas. Roger Holden was the songwriter and producer. He also played the lead guitar. There were many other musicians that were there that night. I should check with Roger to find out who else was credited on that recording.
This recording was used as the sound track for this video tribute to Martin Luther King, Jr.
Here is the audio track that can be shared independent of the video.

{verse}
Fear has made a home
Inside of you
I hold beauty in my hands
And better plans for you
{chorus}
And Fear is not your brother
I made you for me and
Not another
Fear is not your lover
I’m the only one who came
To suffer–
…For you
{verse 2}
Will you trust me
That’s the one
Thing I need to know
Choose to believe somebody
And you choose the way
You’re gonna go
{chorus}
And Fear is not your brother
I made you for me and
Not another
Fear is not your lover
I’m the only one who came
To suffer, and I–
{bridge}
I know the way you feel inside
Baby, you would not have to hide
If you believed that you
could trust in me–
What do you have to lose?…
You know I’m the only one who came
I’m the only one to save you now–
Won’t you try me and see?
{verse 3}
You have chosen
Now we’ll never be
Torn apart
My name is Overcomer
And I’ve made my home inside
Your heart
{chorus}
And Fear is not your brother
I made you for me and
Never another
Fear is not your lover
I’m the only one who came
To cover–
…You

“IBM Unveils Chips That Mimic The Brain” was the title of the article that caught my attention this morning. Progress, it seems, toward a futurist’s projection of eternal life in about 2020 A.D. The link to the IBM story is here.Here is a link to the current “state of the wait” for Google ultra high-speed internet access.
